Braces are a classic way to get a straighter smile - and they remain one of the most popular options here at EDGE Orthodontics. We use state-of-the-art appliances and technologies to make our braces more comfortable and effective than ever before.
Braces consist of three main parts: brackets, archwires, and ligatures. The metal or ceramic brackets are bonded to the outer surface of your teeth, which are then connected by thin metal archwires. Ligatures are tiny rubber rings or wires that hold the archwires in place - you can choose these in fun colours to customise your braces!
Fixed metal braces are made of high-quality, all-metal parts. They work extremely well for correcting misalignments in both the top and bottom rows of teeth.
Swap out metal brackets for ceramic ones that are coloured to match your teeth. This helps you achieve the same amazing results with a more discreet appearance.
Our lingual braces are a very aesthetic orthodontics appliance. These are less than 2mm thick and are affixed to the inside of your teeth, where no one will see them.
Your treatment doesn't end when we remove your braces. Our retention program includes custom removable retainers and post treatment check-ups for one year. In the appropriate situation, we also bond a fitted metal retainer to the inside of your teeth. This helps make sure your beautiful new smile stays in place.
